Joseph Arena serves as Chief Investment Officer, where he oversees the development and execution of the firm’s investment strategies. As Chairman of the Investment Committee, Joe leads the formation and implementation of strategic initiatives, ensuring advisors are equipped to deliver optimal, tailored investment advice to clients.

Before joining the firm, Joe held a similar leadership role at PageOne Financial, where he served as President and Chief Market Strategist. With over 20 years of experience in the financial industry, Joe has successfully navigated market downturns and recoveries, leveraging proprietary economic analyses and fund analytics to drive results and safeguard client portfolios.

Joe earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management with a concentration in Finance from Binghamton University.

Joseph Leo

Managing Principal + CEO

Joseph Leo is the Chief Executive Officer of the firm, where he leads the firm's strategic growth, acquisitions, and recruitment initiatives. Since assuming leadership, Joe has championed a corporate vision centered on the belief that a successful culture is built on authentic relationships—with colleagues, clients, and the broader community.

Joe began his career in financial services in 2005, following his role as Director of Student Services at Colgate University. He joined Etico in 2007 as an advisor, bringing a distinctive and refreshing approach to wealth management for individual investors and small businesses. Over the years, Joe has been instrumental in shaping the firm’s advisor centric philosophy and fostering its continued growth.

A proud alumnus of Colgate University, Joe earned a Bachelor of Arts degree while excelling as a scholar-athlete on the golf team. Outside of work, he dedicates his time to philanthropic efforts, serving on several nonprofit boards, including as Vice President of Colgate’s Alumni Council, and coaching youth athletic teams.

Kyle Webber

Portfolio Manager & Portfolio Manager

Kyle Webber is the Chief Operating Officer and a Portfolio Manager, bringing over 18 years of experience in investment management. In his dual role, Kyle serves as a member of the Investment Committee, overseeing the firm’s portfolio management strategies, and leads the firm’s operations, distribution, advisor solutions, and retirement plan initiatives.

Before joining the firm, Kyle held several leadership roles at PageOne Financial, including Executive Vice President and Portfolio Manager. During his tenure, the investment strategies he managed achieved top-quartile rankings from industry benchmarks such as Lipper, Morningstar, and Pensions & Investments. Prior to PageOne, Kyle served in a similar capacity with a Seattle-based investment firm, Castle Strategies, specializing in public equities and distressed real estate opportunities.

Kyle began his career at John Hancock Investments, where he helped to distribute the firm’s mutual funds, closed-end funds, and separately managed accounts to independent financial advisors, gaining a comprehensive foundation in the investment industry.

Kyle earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Information Analysis from Clarkson University.

Katie Godbout

Chief Marketing Officer

Katie Godbout serves as Chief Marketing Officer, where she spearheads strategic marketing initiatives that align with organizational goals and drive sustainable growth. With a strong background in financial services and SaaS, Katie is a seasoned expert in building scalable systems, fostering marketing and sales alignment, and crafting strategies that deliver measurable results.

Before joining the firm, Katie was VP of Sales and Marketing for Covisum, a financial planning software utilized by financial advisors. Prior to Covisum, Katie held leadership roles as a marketing executive and consultant, where she successfully launched integrated campaigns, optimized operations, and strengthened audience engagement. Her data-driven, results-focused approach consistently translates marketing efforts into revenue growth and lasting business impact.

Katie holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations and Advertising from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, as well as a Master of Science in Marketing with a specialization in Digital Marketing from Western Governors University.

Anthony Spencer

VP, Business Development

Anthony is an accomplished Vice President of Business Development. With over a decade of experience in the financial services industry, Anthony has a proven track record of driving business growth, building strategic partnerships, and delivering high-impact results in wealth management, insurance and investment advisory services.

Before joining the firm, Anthony was a Managing Director at Wealth Advisory Group, he led business development and strategic growth initiatives. Previously, as National Sales Director at Forthright Capital Partners, Anthony focused on expanding business in retirement plans, employee benefits, and investment services. He also spent 11 years at New York Life Insurance Company, progressing through roles from Wholesaler to Partner, where he played a key role in driving business performance and was consistently recognized for outstanding achievements.

Joseph Nassar

VP, Business Development

Joe Nassar serves as a VP, Business Development at Quartz Partners Investment Management. In his role with the firm, Joe will be focused on delivering tailored investment solutions and building long-term partnerships with financial advisors across the US. Mr. Nassar brings over six years of experience in the financial services industry, specializing in investment sales, advisor relationships, and market strategy. 

Prior to joining Quartz Partners, Joe held key roles at Vanguard, Merrill Lynch, and Pacer ETFs where he consistently ranked among top performers, driven by a client-first approach and a deep understanding of the investment landscape. Joe is known for combining market insight with a hands-on, consultative approach that empowers advisors with scalable solutions to grow their practice and better serve their clients. Joe has also spent time as a financial advisor providing him with unique experience around multiple areas of the industry.

Joe holds a bachelor's degree in finance and earned his MBA from West Chester University. Joe also holds his SIE, Series 7, Series 63, and Series 66 FINRA licenses.

Josh Gilbert

Chief Compliance Officer

Josh Gilbert is the Chief Compliance Officer for Etico/Quartz Partners Investment Management, where he oversees all aspects of regulatory compliance and risk management for both the broker-dealer and investment adviser. With extensive experience across the financial services industry, Josh partners with firm leadership and advisors to navigate today’s complex regulatory environment while promoting a culture of accountability, trust, and transparency centered on protecting and advancing the best interests of our clients.

Before joining the firm, Josh served as Compliance Manager for Brighton Securities Corp, where he played a key role in developing and implementing firm-wide compliance policies and procedures. Prior to his compliance roles, Josh began his career working directly with clients as a registered representative and financial advisor at MassMutual and Wells Fargo Advisors.  This client-facing experience gives Josh a unique perspective as a compliance officer, enabling him to balance regulatory oversight with an understanding of the advisor–client relationship.

Josh holds a Bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Geneseo as well as his Life, Accident & Health Insurance license and FINRA Series 7, 66, and 24 licenses.

Daniel Wildermuth

Portfolio Manager

Daniel Wildermuth serves as Portfolio Manager of the Asteria Strategies at Quartz Partners Investment Management.

Over the past 25 years, Mr. Wildermuth has been a pioneer in the adaption of the Endowment Investment approach to the needs of individual investors. Daniel’s success and insightful approach has garnered media coverage from Barron’s, Investment News, Forbes Magazine, Family Office Magazine, CNBC, Bravo TV, Dow Jones Newswire, and other financial market news outlets. McGraw-Hill has published his two books outlining the approach (Wise Money: Minimizing Your Risk and Increasing Your Control & How to Keep and Grow Your Retirement Assets) that more fully explains applying the strategy to individual accounts. In his monthly newsletter, his comments on markets and potential future directions are syndicated nationally by news services and advisors. He speaks frequently at industry conferences and events and is often quoted as an expert in the fields of alternative investments, the stock market, and the general economy.

Mr. Wildermuth earned an MBA in Finance from Anderson School at UCLA and an undergraduate degree in engineering from Stanford University. He graduated in the top 2 percent and 15 percent of classes, respectively.

Beth Holbrook

VP, Institutional Operations

Beth Holbrook serves as Vice President of Institutional Operations, where she leads the client services and operations team to ensure seamless execution of daily, monthly, and quarterly processes. Renowned for her attention to detail and commitment to excellence, Beth provides concierge-level service for client accounts and plays a pivotal role in managing advisor-client relationships. Additionally, she drives and supports the company’s strategic initiatives, aligning operational excellence with the firm’s long-term goals.

Before joining the firm, Beth spent 14 years with an SEC-registered investment adviser, where she held various roles, including 3 years as Chief Compliance Officer. In this capacity, she oversaw regulatory compliance, risk management, and governance, gaining deep expertise in the complexities of investment operations.

Beth has earned the prestigious Investment Adviser Certified Compliance Professional (IACCP®) designation, underscoring her dedication to upholding the highest standards in compliance and operational integrity.

Zach Padgett

AVP, Trading Operations

Zach Padgett serves as Assistant Vice President of Trading Operations with the firm, where he oversees the execution of trades across the firm’s investment strategies. With over a decade of experience in trading and portfolio administration, Zach ensures precise and efficient trade execution while maintaining operational excellence.

In addition to his trading responsibilities, Zach manages the firm’s advisory billing processes, performance reporting, and a range of other critical operational functions that support the firm’s seamless client service and strategic goals. His expertise and attention to detail make him an integral part of the firm’s operations team.

Zach graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Florida with dual Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in Accounting and Finance. He also earned his MBA in Finance from the same institution, further solidifying his strong foundation in financial management and analysis.

Bejal Pattni

AVP, Advisor Services

Bejal serves as Assistant Vice President of Advisor Services where she oversees customer service operations including onboarding new clients, maintaining accounts, coordinating cash movements, and supporting portfolio administration. Additionally, Bejal serves as a key point of contact for client requests, acts as a liaison between clients’ primary advisers and the custodian, providing high-touch, concierge-level service on their behalf.

Bejal brings a proactive, solutions-oriented approach, strong critical thinking skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous process improvement to best serve clients and the firm.

With over 15 years of experience in the financial industry, Bejal has held a variety of roles across operations, management, compliance and marketing. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for delivering exceptional client service, supporting advisors, and ensuring efficient and compliant operations. Bejal earned her degree in Banking and Finance from London Metropolitan University in London, England. 

Jadyn Dawes

AVP, Advisor Solutions

Jadyn Dawes serves as Assistant Vice President of Advisor Solutions where she plays a key role in the day-to-day operations with financial advisors, supporting back-office operations initiatives alongside the Chief Operating Officer, and maintaining a professional and efficient work environment. Based in the Saratoga Springs, NY office, she acts as a liaison between the Operations Team and Advisors to ensure clients' needs are addressed timely and seamlessly. 

Prior to joining Etico, Jadyn served as an Investment Analyst at Prime Group Holdings, where she managed real estate assets, optimized operational efficiency, and led strategic financial analysis. She also held a Financial Planning Analyst position at The Anderson Financial Group, where she prepared retirement projections, assisted with investment strategies, and supported advisor-client interactions.

Jadyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Finance and a minor in Enterprise Resource Planning from Western New England University. She is certified in SAP and holds both her Life, Accident & Health Insurance license and FINRA SIE certification. Jadyn is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and contributing to the continued growth of the firm.

Gus Carlson

Gus Carlson has been helping major global public companies build, manage and protect their reputations for more than three decades. After a successful career as an award-winning national business journalist with top-tier U.S. newspapers, Gus moved to the corporate world, where he developed specialties in reputation management and crisis communications, brand strategy and positioning, executive leadership communications, employee engagement, and media and investor relations. He is now a consultant to corporations and organizations around the world.

Gus’ experience includes more than a decade as Global Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for the Thomson Corporation and Thomson Reuters, where he oversaw communications for Thomson’s 2008 acquisition of Reuters PLC for $17 billion and the development and launch of the Thomson Reuters brand, which is ranked among the 100 most valuable brands in the world. He also oversaw communications around the $17 billion sale of the Thomson Reuters Financial & Risk business to Blackstone in 2018. Gus has also held senior communications positions at Accenture, Standard & Poor’s, Barnes & Nobel, PaineWebber and Hill and Knowlton. Gus is president of The National Sailing Hall of Fame and The Sailing Museum in Newport, R.I. He is an author on reputation management, media bias and corporate culture, and lectures at colleges on media and communications issues.

Bob Ciesla

Boeing

Bob Ciesla is the Vice President of Weapons for Boeing Defense, Space & Security’s Missile and Weapon Systems division. In this role, he oversees Boeing’s Direct Attack, Cruise Missile Systems, Integrated Air and Missile Defense and Laser & Electro-Optical solutions.

With over 30 years of engineering and management experience at Boeing, including flight test and design engineering, Ciesla has also served as vice president and program manager of the F-15 program, where he was responsible for its overall performance, including technical, quality, cost, and schedule performance, as well as business strategy, execution, and growth.

Ciesla received a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from Saint Louis University in 1983, a master’s degree in management from the Polytechnic Institute of New York University in 1986, and a doctorate in organizational leadership from Pepperdine University in 2001. Ciesla sits on the Forest Park Forever Board of Directors in St. Louis, Missouri, and the Saint Louis University Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology Advisory Board.

Mark Epes

Head of Commerce, Minerva Analytics

Mark Epes is the Head of Commerce for Minerva Analytics, a subsidiary of the serial startup shop Cogo Labs. Mark is an operator who leads and grows innovative startups across a multitude of industries with a robust background in management and digital performance marketing.

Prior to joining Cogo Labs, Epes served as the General Manager, Americas for PapayaMobile where he lead business development, user acquisition, growth/performance marketing, developer network, and M&A efforts in the Americas. He grew both the ad sales and publisher network sides of the business. Mark began his career working for Q Interactive followed by Channel Clarity and Fluent, all of which focused on consumer acquisition solutions through digital lead generation, online traffic management, conversion optimization, and re-marketing. Mark has over 20-years of business development and leadership with the majority stemming from the performance marketing space.

Mark graduated from the University of San Diego with a BBA degree in Finance and Marketing and resides with his family in the San Francisco Bay Area.

David Hart

David joined ZRG Partners, LLC in 2006 and is a Managing Partner and a senior member of ZRG’s CEO, CFO and Private Equity Practices. Having started in the executive search business in 1979, David brings a long and successful track record with over 40 years of senior executive selection and evaluation experience, and over 800 senior level searches ranging from Chief Executive Officer and all C-Level roles as well as critical middle management functions.

David was a Managing Partner of one of the first retained executive search firms on Wall Street and had many of the major investment banks, asset managers and brokerages as clients. As the investment banking community began to focus on private equity, David built a successful practice completing searches for Private Equity firms and their portfolio companies. Because of his depth of experience with senior corporate leadership, David is frequently consulted on portfolio company leadership issues, transitions, team structuring, and employment practices for senior executives.

Prior to joining the search world, David was responsible for marketing and sales in the New York Region for Electronic Data Systems and, later for Financial Industry Systems, a Lockheed Martin subsidiary. David is also a former Air Force pilot and instructor pilot, a Vietnam Veteran, and a graduate of the USAF Squadron Officer School.

David is a graduate of Ball State University with a degree in Physics; and The Executive Banking School, American Bankers Association, at Southern Methodist University.

Andrew Johnson

CEO, Testimonial IQ

Andrew is the Founder and CEO of Testimonial IQ, a marketing software platform developed specifically for financial advisors. Andrew is also a co-founder of, and current Board Advisor to Datalign Advisory, a B2B2C RIA client referral platform.

In addition to his experience in the wealth-tech industry, Andrew spent years working in strategy consulting and product development with Meta. He is a former Surface Warfare Officer and Navy Veteran.

Andrew earned his BS from Davidson College and MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.

Arun Gowda

Managing Partner, Broadpeak Ventures, LLC

Arun Gowda currently serves as Founder and Managing Partner of Broadpeak Ventures LLC, a private investment company that invests in high growth sectors across a range of industries including medtech, alternative investments, insurance, and technology.

Prior to this, Mr. Gowda was previously Managing Director, UBS Asset Management (New York), O’Connor Alternatives Group, a global investment firm where he led the development of the private credit business. Mr. Gowda served in a business development role at UBS where he was responsible for raising capital from insurance companies, pensions plans and high net worth private banking clients.

Mr. Gowda previously served as Managing Director of Guggenheim Fund Services, a private hedge fund investment platform backed by assets from institutional investors including insurance companies and wealth managers. Mr. Gowda joined Guggenheim from senior positions in structured hedge fund products and equity derivatives at UBS Investment Bank, London and Morgan Stanley, New York.

Mr. Gowda currently serves as an independent public director on the Board of Oxbridge Reinsurance Cayman, (Nasdaq: “OXBR”) and chairs the investment and audit committee. He has also previously served as a director for insurance entities domiciled in Bermuda. Gowda is a senior advisor to high growth asset management groups REX Shares, Osprey Funds, Aquarian Holdings, and Cliffwater Funds. He is currently on the board of OncoMAGNETx, an early stage brain cancer startup.

Mr. Gowda brings invaluable experience in medtech, alternative investments, insurance, banking, risk management, compliance and governance to his board and advisory positions. He started his career as a software development engineer for Hewlett Packard. Mr. Gowda received an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BE, honors, from Vanderbilt University.

Scott Acheychek

COO, REXShares

Scott is the Chief Operating Officer of REX Financial, having previously served as CEO of REX Financial subsidiary REX Shares. Since joining REX in 2016, he has been instrumental in overseeing the company's product expansion and asset growth to approximately ten billion. Before his tenure at REX, Scott held senior sales and leadership positions at major global investment banks, including Citi, AIG, and Wells Fargo. In these roles, he specialized in providing derivative and structured note solutions for hedge funds, asset managers, global pension plans, and financial advisors across various asset classes.

Scott has been involved in the launch of over 100 ETNs and ETFs. His expertise has been recognized by leading business media outlets, with appearances on CNBC and Bloomberg, and he has been quoted by Reuters, Financial Times, New York Times, and other prominent publications. Scott holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Sacred Heart University.
